Remember to do something you love each and everyday! Work is important, tending to matters of the home, and completing the chores are all necessary. However, without taking time for the little things in life that bring you joy it is easy to burn out. Enjoy your life and the blessings that the Lord has given you. This will surely improve your life and your health!
In life there are times when you have to speak your mind. There is a time to stay silent and a time to speak. If there is something that has been bothering you or if someone has been mistreating you, it might be time to speak your mind. Keeping your emotions in can be detrimental because the thing that’s bothering you never gets dealt with. We encourage you to assess your life and your relationships and “say what you need to say.”
The health tip for this month is to prioritize your time. Take time to figure out what is truly important in your life, and then eliminate distractions. If something is consuming your time and it isn’t productive or important in your life then stop doing it. We suggest making a list of the things you need to get done and accomplish; and set aside time for your family and for yourself in your schedule as well. As you prioritize, and then take off of your list the things that aren’t necessary, your health will improve as you lighten your load!
We would like to encourage you to change one bad health habit that you have been doing. For instance, if you have been neglecting your times of fitness and exercise, then go to your local gym today or take a walk around your neighborhood. Or if you have been busy everyday all day with no rest, then take a few moments to relax. Put down what you’re doing and take a break. Changing one bad habit regarding your health can go a long way, and it can really positively impact your life!
This month the healthy living tip is to be inspired! What inspires you? Is it training, artistry, creativity, sports, etc.? Find a positive outlet that makes you happy, brings you joy, and inspires your life! Then partake in the activity. One activity that brings joy to me and Anthony is martial arts. So we would like to share with you an inspiring martial arts video from a recent seminar that Anthony taught. We hope you enjoy it! Click Here To View!
The healthy living tip for this month is to begin thinking about your new year’s resolutions. What are the things in your life that need adjusting? Think about your overall health; mind, body, and spirit. Come before the Lord and ask Him to help you to identify the matters that need amending in your life, and ask the Holy Spirit to change your heart and help you to make better choices in these areas.
“Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.” 3 John 1:2
The health tip this month is to walk. Walking is wonderful for your health and it is a practical way to get a good workout in. Anthony and I travel quite often. So we can’t always stick with our same workout routine. We have to find ways to train no matter where we are. One way we do this is through walking. We like to get up and walk a few miles right away. This gives us energy and is a great start to the day. So wherever you are walk! If it’s too cold where you are this time of year, then try walking on the treadmill. You can pass the time through listening to music or watching the television. Before you know it, you’ve completed your workout!
Part of healthy living is having positive relationships in your life. So today we encourage you to take a look at the people who are surrounding your life. Are they relationships that uplift you or tear you down? Seek the Lord about your friendships and associations and ask Him to confirm to your heart the people who should remain in your life and those you need to walk away from. Ridding yourself from toxic associations will bring peace to your heart and relieve your body of stress.
The healthy living tip this month is to stay calm. There are so many circumstances in life that can easily make you upset. The next time one of these difficult times arise take a deep breath and stay calm. Take a minute to take a walk, say a prayer, or read your Bible. Do something that brings you peace and trust that whatever your circumstance, it can be worked out.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
The health tip this month is to take time to rest. It is easy to get caught up in the business of life, but it is important to have time when you rest and recuperate. Next time you feel tired, stop and take a moment for yourself. You can read a book, watch a television show, or take a nap; something to take your mind of the stresses of life and the business of your day. Remember to rest and enjoy your life!
