Faith Can Move Mountains…

“I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20 NIV

The Lord is not looking for a perfect person. He is not looking for a person without blemish or mistakes. He is not looking for a person that knows how to recite every scripture or pray every prayer. He is looking for a yielded person, one that is willing to serve Him with their whole heart. He is looking for an individual with enough faith to trust Him and to place their life in His hands. He is looking for a person that will love Him enough to say; “Yes Lord. Choose me. I will go where you call me to go, and I will do what you call me to do.” To say these words to the Lord and truly mean it takes faith. The kind of faith that says; “No matter what I may face, no matter what I may walk through; I trust the Lord enough to say yes to Him and to yield myself to His will, purpose, and destiny for my life.” For it is with this kind of faith that mountains are moved.

In Mark 12:41-43 we see an example of extraordinary faith displayed;

Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny. Calling His disciples to Him, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.” Mark 12:41-43 NIV

This poor widow displayed her faith through her offering that day. It was not about the size of the offering; but the price she paid in giving it and the faith she showed in doing so. She had faith, knowing that if she gave what she had, God would take care of her and supply her every need. She could have held on to the money. She could have walked away and not given an offering. Instead, she decided to exercise her faith and give out of her lack and poverty. It was in this act that she pleased God. Not because she gave money, but because she did it in faith. And in doing so, she moved the heart of God.

In everything that you do, do it in faith; believing that the Lord is there and He will take care of you and see you through every trial and circumstance. The Bible says; “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 NIV

Today, I encourage you to place your life in the hands of the Lord. I encourage you to have faith; and to entrust your future and your destiny into the Lord’s keeping. I encourage you to seek the Lord in all He has for you. I encourage you to believe. Believe that God exists. Believe that He is there. And believe that He will not fail you.

You can start by praying this prayer aloud to Him;

Dear Lord Jesus,

I give You my life and I give You my future. I know that You hold my very life in Your hands and my destiny is Yours Lord. I release my faith for all that You have for me and I believe that You by Your might and power will bring to pass all that You have purposed for me. I trust You Lord. I believe You Lord. And I love You Lord.

In Jesus Mighty Name I Pray,

Amen
